Marty Clements' Obituary
Marty Lynn Clements November 4th, 1969 – April 13, 2020.
Marty Lynn Clements, son of the late Richard Clements and the very alive Marie Clements was born November 4th, 1969 in Marshall, Tx. He attended the public schools of Pine Tree in Longview and graduated from Evanston High School in Evanston, Wyoming in 1989
.
He was united in holy matrimony to Mary Costlow on October 7th of 2011. This union was blessed with her son Matt and his wife Desiree and his Granddaughter Lexi Costlow. Marty will miss them for the time until they will be reunited above.
Marty was a welder fitter by trade and traveled much of his young adult life living the life of a welder, fitter, and teller of large, but minutely accurate, stories of his life and the lives of his family and friends. He spent 10 years as a manufacturing engineer at Vertex/General Dynamics.
Marty went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 13, 2020 in Henderson, Texas.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his Mother, Marie Clements of Longview. His sister Tonya Nelms and husband Keith of Longview. A host of nieces and nephews on Tonya’s side whom were like kids to him: Jordan Nelms and wife McKenzie of Tatum, Tx, Megan Smith and husband Josh of Tatum, Tx and Faith Nelms of Hallsville, Tx. Many great nieces and nephews including, Eli, Sawyer, Cammie, Coco, and Collins.
Also, he was very close to his uncle Charles Martin of Tatum, Tx whom he shared many a good conversation with. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Clements of Longview whom he will be excited to see again!
A celebration of life to be held later. Tons of friends will be telling stories at this time. He did have a lot of friends! Due to current regulations, the funeral will be close family only at a graveside service at Martin Cemetery in Tatum, Tx on FM 3231. Friends are welcome to drive through the cemetery from 10AM to Noon this Saturday the 18th and give Marty a send-off in true Marty fashion. Arrangements: Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
