Martha Virginia Smitherman Winegar
Funeral services for Martha Virginia Smitherman Winegar, 92, of Longview will be held at 3 PM Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Winterfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mike Lindstrom officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road. The family will receive friends at 2 PM prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Winegar was born on April 6, 1912 in Gregg County to Dan and Lovey Smitherman. She passed away on March 25, 2005 in a Longview hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Winterfield united Methodist Church.
Mrs. Winegar was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley; one sister, M.L. Duncan; 3 brothers, Joe C. Duncan, Alvin Smitherman, and Robert Smitherman.
Those left to cherish her memory are, sister-in-law, Ruby Smitherman of Longview; nephews, Joe Van and Linda Smitherman of Longview, Claude and Ruby Jo Smitherman of Longview, Kenneth and Allie Duncan of Marshall, Clyde and Mary Smitherman of Monroe, LA., Ronnie and Janet Bussey of Longview, Robert Smitherman of California, Billy Smitherman of Marshall, Mike Smitherman of Longview; and niece Elaine Bussey of Chico.
