Martha Ann Carr Richmond's Obituary
Graveside services for Martha Richmond of Elysian Fields, TX will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Cemetery in De Berry, TX with Pastor Harold Coburn officiating. Martha passed away in the early evening of May 29, 2026.
Martha was born to the Carr family of Richmond, VA, on April 20, 1943. She met and married Carl Kenneth Richmond Sr. and they soon started their family together. Throughout her life, she worked for her family with love, growing a garden and multiplying the love that she saw in the world through her children and grandchildren. Martha enjoyed going on walks to any place her feet would take her, but far greater was her enjoyment with her walk with Christ. She was a lifelong follower of her Lord and Savior and attended the New Hebron Baptist Church of Elysian Fields, TX.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Richmond Sr. in 2007. Those left to cherish their memories of Martha include her children Annette McFarland, Carl “Ken” Richmond Jr. with his wife Loretta, Charles Steven Richmond with his wife Jackie, and Donald Richmond and his wife Altania. She is also remembered by her multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
