Martha Ann Rhodes' Obituary
Martha Ann Rhodes passed away at home with her loving family by her side Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in Longview, Texas. Martha was born August 17, 1946 in Waco, Texas the daughter of Frank and Albina Dobias. She was united in marriage to Kent D. Rhodes on March 20, 1965. Martha worked for Southwestern Bell for 30 years before retiring in 1999. She loved gardening, quilting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish their memories of Martha include her husband Kent, her daughters, Wendy Duncan and her husband Nick of Longview, Texas, and Shawn Palmer and her husband Paul of Cleburne, Texas; 3 brothers, 5 sisters, 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 2pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Longview. Interment will follow at Rosewood Park in Longview.
The Recitation of the Rosary will be at 1:30pm at the church prior to the Mass.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation Friday, February 5, 2016 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview from 5pm-7pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Mary’s Catholic Church or HeartsWay Hospice.
