Martha (Marty) Presley Ethridge
Marty Ethridge, 71, of Hallsville, TX passed from this life, Friday, January 19, 2018.
She was born November 5, 1946 in Hope, AR to Enos and Nellie Presley. She retired in 2007 after 21 years of teaching. She was an active member of Longview Church of Christ.
Marty was a bright light in this world. She always had a smile for everyone she met. She was witty and kind. She was a loyal friend and devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. She loved and served the Lord every day of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don Willson and her husband Ray Ethridge. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Zenia Strickland, and their children Azul, Genesis, Cielo, and Presley; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen Strickland-Cohen and Jason Cohen; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Gloria Presley; and Ray Ethridge’s children Galon and Vivian Ethridge, Lisa and Tom Hicks, Sherra Cobb, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 23 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 24 at 10 am in the chapel at Rader Funeral Home. Graveside service will be that day at 12:30 pm at Pine Crest Cemetery, Atlanta, TX.
