Funeral services for Martha Jean Minix Ballenger, 56, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Chaplain Richard Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Park. She passed away Sunday, October 15, 2006 in White Oak.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home
Mrs. Ballenger was born June 23, 1950 in Hammond, Indiana to Clarence and Helen Smith, and had been a longtime resident of Longview. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Joanne Shelton.
Survivors include her husband, George Jackson of Longview; children, Marsha Haldren and Paula Minix of White Oak and Sandra Mitchell and Paul Minix, Jr. of Longview; the father of her children, Paul Minix, Sr. of Hallsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Barb Smith, William and Mona Smith and Clarence Smith, Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Lee Aumaller, Norma Everett, and Mary and Joe Reynolds; brother-in-law, Freddy Shelton; grandchildren, Lindzey Sims, Cynthia Haldren, Destoney Minix and Nicolette Minix; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
