Martha Combs' Obituary
Martha L Conner Combs was born in Texarkana Arkansas July 27, 1951 to Newman LC Conner and Myrtle Lee Doss Conner. She graduated from Atlanta High School in 1969. She married the love of her life, Charles C Combs, on July 27, 1970. They were blessed with a son, Cliff in July 1971, and a daughter Rachel in August 1978. They lived in Atlanta and she worked in Texarkana selling Goodyear tires for almost 30 years before moving to Lake Cherokee and eventually retiring. She was further blessed with two grandsons Kade and Cullen in 1996 and 1998 and twin granddaughters Sydney and Reagan in 2015. She lost her brief but hard fought battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Charles Combs, son Cliff Combs, daughter Rachel Grilley and her husband Richard; four grandchildren, Kade Combs, Cullen Combs, Sydney Grilley, and Reagan Grilley; sister Mary Birchfield all of Longview, and sister Peggy Matthews and her husband James of Lufkin, and numerous cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
She has gone to her eternal home to join her mother Myrtle, father Newman, brothers Robert and Newman.
Services will be held at Rader funeral home on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Ronnie Raines officiating.
