I was so sorry to hear of Martha's death - we had lost touch through the years but she was a dear friend and the years I lived in Jacksonville were only enhanced by knowing her.

As a child our family trips to Granddad & Grammie's were enhanced whenever Aunt Martha was there. She was the "fun" aunt that helps give childhood depth and memorable character. It was Aunt Martha who talked my sister and I into singing the song "Sad Movies" for the family. They all smiled and, with effort, held back their laughter as we sang it very seriously we were about 5 & 7.
