Marshall Edwin Ed Dooley
Marshall Edwin Ed Dooley was born March 17, 1927 in Hillsboro, Texas and passed away Wednesday September 29, 2010 in Longview. Ed served his country as a medical Technician in the Air Force during World War II.
He worked as a printer and retired from The Dallas Morning News in 1986. After retirement, he moved to Longview and spent his days playing Golf and Pool. Ed loved to cook his specialty was banana pudding.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Sandra Gayle Dooley.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jessie Ritter Dooley, son, Dr. Glenn Dooley and wife Cynthia, daughters, Mrs. Marcia Thomas and Mrs. Lisa Ashley and husband Mike, grandsons, Kenny Dooley, Clayton Dooley, William McDowell, Brian Thomas and Nathan McCall, Sergio Cruz, Esteban Cruz, and five great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Tanneyhill Masonic Lodge.
We would like to thank Dr. Saikin, Dr. Shea, Dr. Schottstaedt, and their staff for the care they gave Ed during his illness, and also Brenda Johnson of Pine Tree Lodge for her hugs and sweet smile.

Funeral services will be held at Two O'clock Monday October 4, 2010 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road with Chaplain Reverend David Badders officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
The family will receive friends on Monday October 4, 2010 from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
