Mark Monroe Thomas Jr's Obituary
This world lost a bright shining light far too soon. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark Monroe Thomas Jr., age 33. Mark passed away on April 28, 2026. He was born on July 23, 1992, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to parents Mark Monroe Thomas and Natalie Kristine Styles Thomas. Mark was a beloved son, a cherished brother, treasured nephew, a devoted friend, and a vibrant presence in the lives of those who knew him.
Mark will always be remembered for his infectious laughter and warm spirit. A passionate bodybuilder, he embraced life with energy and enthusiasm, inspiring all around him with his dedication to fitness and well-being. His love for music was evident in his skillful guitar playing and heartfelt singing. Whether cheering for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, or engaging in spirited discussions over a good book, Mark always brought joy and excitement to every moment.
He fiercely loved his family and was a cherished friend to many. His beloved cat, Ms. Honey, was a faithful companion, and Mark's affection for animals mirrored his compassionate nature. He had a unique gift for making people laugh, uplifting spirits, and creating a sense of warmth in every room he entered. Marks smile could brighten even the darkest of days.
Mark was a warrior who fought to overcome the limitations of Lance Adams Syndrome. He spent the past 8 years working to break through the stigma of being trapped in his own body. His battle is now in the past and he is able to rest, free from pain and suffering.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandfather, John Wayne Young. He is survived by his mother, Natalie Thomas, father, Mark Thomas, sisters; Samanatha and Emily Thomas, grandparents; Dan and Nancy Styles, and Robert and Lynn Pyle as well as numerous other family and friends.
