I am so sorry for your loss. I did not hear about this until a half hour before the funeral on Saturday. I am really disapointed that I could not be there. Mark was an amazing individual - truly one-of-a-kind - and good friend through the years. Again, my sincere condolences, and may God bring you comfort in this difficult time.

I am fortunate to have been close to Mark during our college years. We had many good times together as co-workers, as friends and as a couple. I learned a lot of interesting and important things from Mark through his intelligence, creativity, curiosity and humor. He was generous and set a fine example by being unafraid to show his deep love for his family and closest friends. He always made me feel special. My heartfelt thoughts of peace for Mark and may the gift of good memories comfort all of the Humphrey family now. I knew Mark from two avenues, really -- through his sister and my good friend, Kathleen, but also from my sister, Julia, when they dated back in the "old days." I have fond memories of talking with him about many topics...and those conversations were stimulating! I am glad I knew you Mark.
