Mark Blanks, Sr.
Funeral services for Mark Blanks, Sr., 84 of Longview will be held at 10 AM Friday, April 21, 2006 in the Rosewood Park Chapel Mausoleum. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the funeral home, 1617 Judson Road.
Mr. Blanks was born on February 13, 1922 in Tyler to Dee and Mary Blanks. He died on April 18, 2006 in a Longview hospital.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Forces. Mr. Blanks was a graduate of Whitehouse High School and a road builder who constructed roads throughout the East Texas area from 1949 to 1980. He was also the street superintendent for the City of Longview. Mr. Blanks was a man of faith who loved the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Lillian Blanks of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Mark Blanks, Jr. and Alana of Longview; grandchildren, Stephanie Blanks, Kristin Blanks, Eric Blanks; as well as niece, Barbara Blanks; and nephew, John Hugh Blanks.
