Funeral services for Marjorie Florence Mayes, 80, of Longview, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Howard Mayes officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery. Ma Read Obituary

I was wondering why Jesus wept, I don?t think it was for Lazarus, the Lord knew he was in a better place. It must have been for the grieving family. I believe he weeps for your family as well at this time of sorrow, even though Marjorie is in a better place.

I had only known Mrs. Margorie for a short period but I feel extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to meet her. Mr. & Mrs. Mayes are customers of ours and it was always so nice to have her walk in the door to pay her bill. She always had a smile on her face no matter what the situation! I remember visiting with her after she found out she was ill. After letting her know we would keep her in our prayers, she smiled really big and told me she was happy with whatever the Lord placed on her. She was always such a kind person to me and has and always will have a very special place in my heart even after knowing her for only a short time.

All who knew her should feel blessed because we have an amazing angel watching over us. I can only imagine the reunion of Marjorie with her Saviour and with her mother Isabel. She has returned home.
