Marjorie Coe Presley's Obituary
Marjorie Coe Presley was born July 7, 1920 in Gilmer, Texas and died Friday, July 11th. A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church in Longview, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14th under the direction of Rader Funeral Home, Longview.
Marjorie, a Baylor University graduate, was a gifted pianist, church organist and music teacher, and served on the board of the Longview Symphony.
In addition to her musical accomplishments, she was a passionate dealer in fine antiques.
She was an active member of the Heritage Bible Study Club, the Camellia Garden Club and First Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, J.F. Presley and four children – Beverly Calhoun and husband Tom, Jim Presley and wife Terry, Jane Grant and husband Bill, and Sara Welborn. Also surviving her are grandchildren Kirk Calhoun, Clark Presley, Chris Presley and Kent Welborn, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Allen Calhoun and Clay Calhoun.
