Marilyn Richardson's Obituary
Marilyn Theis Richardson, 90, of Longview, TX, passed away peacefully at home on July 5, 2025 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born on August 14, 1934, in New Bremen, Ohio, to Arthur and Hazel Theis. Marilyn graduated from Fort Recovery High School in Fort Recovery, Ohio. She married in 1954, and was a devoted wife for 70 years to the late George T. Richardson. Marilyn was a caring, loving mother to their children.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, John Theis, Paul Theis, James Theis, and Robert “Bucky” Theis.
She is survived by 5 children: Daughter Cynthia Richardson; son George Richardson; son Steve Richardson, and his wife Amy; daughter Janet Sutterfield, and her husband George; daughter Melissa Garrison, and her husband James. She has 9 grandchildren: Eric Richardson, Justin Sutterfield, Ben Sutterfield, Ashley Sutterfield, Kimberly Richardson, Wendy Richardson, Joshua Richardson, Amber Garrison, and Adam Garrison. She is also a great-grandmother to Nora Sutterfield and Colin Sutterfield. A
memorial service will be held on July 11th, at 11 am at Rosewood Park Cemetery.
