Marilyn Gail Pettit's Obituary
A memorial service will be held for Marilyn Gail Pettit with Brother Kelly Brian officiating, at 2pm Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel here in Longview. Marilyn was born June 10, 1953 to W.C. “Bill” Means and Carolyn Luman, and passed away April 1, 2014, at the age of 60, at Good Shepherd Hospital. She lived in Longview most of her life, moving to Kilgore after marrying Perry Pettit in 1988.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Perry Pettit of Kilgore, TX, a son Kirt Griffin of Aledo, TX, and four grandchildren; Kade, Cameron, Hanna, and Hayden Griffin. Her mother Carolyn Luman of Longview, and her brother; Larry Means of New Boston, TX, her two step brothers; Gary Luman of Irving, TX, and Kevin Luman of Longview. She is also survived by her two step sisters; Jan Sullivan of Longview and Tammy Hutcheson of Irving, TX. Marilyn was preceded in death by her Father W.C. “Bill” Means, and her son Keith Griffin, and her grandparents; Lewis and Mittie Husband of Cuba, AL and Ike and Mabel Means of Woodberry, AR. Her Uncle, Sam “Bo” Husband and her aunt, Ann Hendrix, both of Longview.
