Marila Ann Dollahite Palmer, age 65, went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 28, 2018. She devoted her life to Jesus Christ, her family and friends, and her work in education. After graduating from Hallsville High School and S Read Obituary
Marila was a wonderful part of our PhD cohort. She worked w/great commitment and integrity. I am so saddened to hear we are now w/o her presence in this world, but grateful to know she abides with her Savior for all eternity now. You inspired me with your example Marila, and I am better for it!
We were in the same cohort at DBU for our PhD program. She always had a smile and wisdom to offer. I enjoyed our friendship and know she is greatly loved. Please be assured of my prayers for the family in this time of loss. There is comfort knowing that she is fully healed and will suffer no more.
Marila was a wonderful partner and friend in Cohort II in the DBU PhD program. We challenged and needled each other constantly, sometimes in competition, other times in cooperation. I had great admiration for her drive and discipline. She will be missed on so many levels

Marila was first a colleague, and then later she was a parent of my H.M.S. students. She was a bright light and well-respected by all who knew her. May God grant peace and beautiful memories to all who love her.

Mrs. Palmer was my 9th grade English teacher at PTJH. She was a wonderful teacher and expected the best of her students. She was always one of my favorite teachers. I know she will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this most difficult time.
