Marie Pauline Hopkins' Obituary
Funeral services for Marie Pauline Hopkins, 83, of Longview, will be 2 PM Monday, July 17, 2006, in the chapel of Rader Funeral Home, with Reverend Dow Harleston officiating.
Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Marie passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at her residence.
She was born July 3, 1923 in Vinita, Oklahoma to William P. and Emma Simmons Nair.
Mrs. Hopkins was a member of the Greggton First Baptist Church, worked as a key punch operator for Lone Star Steel, and was a 49 year member of the Eastern Star, 610, of Longview.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8 PM.
Marie is survived by her husband, Roy Edgar Hopkins of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Leroy Hopkins and wife, Nita, of Longview; one grandson, Michael
Hopkins; four granddaughters and their spouses, Susan and Kelly Flatt, Tresia & Mark Bennett, Wendy and Billy Hagenbucher of Longview, and Cindy and Venton
McFadden of Quitman, TX.; eleven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren; one sister, Agnes May Franks of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Pallbearers will be grandson, Michael Hopkins, great grandsons, Gavin & Cody Flatt, Jay Paul and Shawn Hagenbucher and Ryan Bennett.
