Marie Dobbs Bright's Obituary
Funeral services for Marie Dobbs Bright, 89, of Longview will be 10 AM Monday in the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bobby Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Marie died Friday evening in a local nursing home.
A native of Wilburton, Oklahoma, she was born May 12, 1912 and had lived in Longview since moving from Corpus Christi in 1978. Marie was a member of Greggton First Baptist Church.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Cecil Self Bright and an infant granddaughter, Kathryn Marie Sampson.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Pat and Dale Simpkins of Longview and Cecilia and Johnnie Sampson of Garland, Texas and a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and June Bright of San Antonio. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Denise Langston of Phoeniz, AZ, Landa Leavy of McAfee, NJ, Cyndy Hugghins of Longview, John Sampson of San Antonio, Lori Lansford of Rowlett, Jeff Sampson of Garland, Kristi Sampson of Euless, Clayton Bright and Darryl Bright of San Antonio, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends Sunday evening 5 to 7PM.
Pallbearers will be Locke Lansford, Kenneth Hugghins, Ralph Webber, Frank Behanick, Charlie Stansell and David Bright.
