Marie Boyette Gray Milam's Obituary
Graveside services for Marie Boyette Gray Milam, 83, of Longview, affectionately known to her grandchildren as ?Ree? will be 10 AM Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Grace Hill Cemetery with Pastor Tommy Jackson officiating. Interment will follow.
Marie was born November 4, 1923 in Logan, Texas to Jackson and Bessie Boyette. She was the food director at Longview High School and served the school district for over 35 years.
Mrs. Milam was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Gray;sisters, Juanita Cook, Jackie Pepper, Lucille Harper; and brothers Travis Lee Boyette, Hollis Boyette, and Drew Boyette. She is survived by her daughter, Sherian Marie Akin and husband, Charles, of Longview; son, Kenneth Wayne Pepper
and wife, Joyce, of Melborne, Arkansas; sister, Lois Huckabee of Longview; grandchildren, Judith Smith, and husband, Larry, of Harleton, TX, Sherrie Evans and husband, Tony of Mesquite, TX., Wesley Akin and fiancée, Darrah Dambold of Austin, Kirby Pepper and wife, Pricilla, of Longview, Rhonda Crump and husband, Billy, of Longview, Julie Pepper and husband
of Tennessee, and seven great grandchildren; nieces,
Judy Downing and husband, Larry, of Longview, Carolyn Lee and husband, Bill of Houston, Nancy Chevalier of Tatum, and Barbara Daniels and husband, Johnny, of Atlanta; special cousins-in-law, Les and Bonnie Odom of Poteau, OK.
She is also survived by many loving friends and co-workers at Longview Independent School District.
