Marie Bander Barnes' Obituary
Marie Bander Barnes age 90, passed away June 30, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Tyler. She was born to Joseph and Exa Bander May 14, 1926 in White Oak, Texas. It was there she attended local schools growing up and graduated from White Oak High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree at North Texas State University. Among her many achievements Marie was a pilot and a member of the Gregg County Chapter of Amelia Earhart 99er’s. She was also a Major with the Civil Air Patrol. Marie also had a deep faith in God.
Those left to cherish her memory is her Loving daughter Cindy Robbins and her husband John, four grandchildren Scott Nelson, Eric Barnes, Meredith and Kevin Barnes and three great-grandchildren.
Marie’s son Joe Barnes, her brother Joe Bander, her sister Joyce Davis and her parents all precede her in passing.
Graveside services will be 10am Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at White Oak Cemetery in White Oak, Texas officiated by Hospice Chaplain Dr. Emanuel Ward. Arrangements are under the care of Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
