Graveside services for Margie Marie King, 83, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ada, OK. under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home. Local arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home. She passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, in a Longview hospital.
Mrs. King was born Nov. 8, 1921 in Centrahoma, OK., to John Thomas and Della Mae Garrett Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Longview. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed watching her flowers and plants grow. She loved helping others by sending them her delicious baked goods and beautiful flowers from her garden.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alva C. Smith, Arlis L. Smith, and Vestle Smith; and sister Rubye Smith Priest.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, J. W. ?Dub? King of Longview; sister and brother-in-law, Anna Jean and Jack Key of Muskogee, OK.; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry D. and Flora Smith of Moore, OK.; sister-in-law, Robbie Krug of Denver, CO.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
