Margie Sue Urban Land's Obituary
Margie Sue Urban Land was welcomed home on March 17, 2025, to rejoice with her heavenly Father in Eternal Life. Her faith in Jesus Christ will allow her to be with her family Henry and Lucile Urban; parents, Leroy Land; husband, and grandchild Lauren Land that all preceded her in death.
Margie was born April 22, 1938, in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Waco High in 1955 and married Leroy the same year. They were happily married for 59 years till his death in 2014. Leroy worked at various car dealerships and Margie worked at Pine Tree ISD until May 2000, dedicating her life to learning, service and various charities.
Margie was a loving mother survived by her children, Kathy and husband Gary Baker, Lee and wife Nancy Land. Her grandchildren; Joe Ed and Brandi McBride, Tonya McBride, Lindsay and Will Flynn, Tye and Ashlie Baker, and Melissa Baker. Great-grandchildren; Kyler McBride, Brendan Austin, Makenzie Taylor, Destinee Houston, Kayden and Keylee Baker, Ava Pohl, and Liam and Harper Flynn. She also had three great-great grandsons. Margie also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Tom Land and sister-in-law Marion Kelley, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express our gratitude for all condolences and prayers of support. Please join us March 26, 2025, at Elmira Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church; located at 3505 Elmira Dr. Longview, Tx. Visitation will be held at 11:00am, with the service following at 12:00pm. Margie will be buried alongside Leory in the Elmira Cemetery.
