Margie Jean Russell's Obituary
Services for Margie Bryant Kirl Russell, 71, of Longview will be held at 12 Noon Thursday, august 5th at The Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Rd. with Rev. Otis Thrash officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday, August 4th at the funeral home. Mrs. Russell was released into the arms of God on August 1, 2004 after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.
Margie was born February 28, 1933 to George and Madge Bryant. She was a lifelong resident of Longview. She enjoyed spending time with loved ones, dancing, playing bridge, camping out, long conversations, and just the simple things in life. She also found great happiness in her fellowship group with friends of Bill W.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Bill Bryant, her sister Lillian Savage, her first husband Fred L. Kirl, Jr. and her second husband David C. Russell. She is survived by her children: daughter Louisa and her husband Russell McKee of Malvern, Iowa; daughter, Tamra Kirl of Longview; son, Fritz and his wife Barbara Kirl of Longview; son, Matthew Kirl of San Diego, California; grandson, Jason McKee of Glenwood, Iowa and grandson, Luke and his wife Julie McKee of Marysville, Ohio. Also surviving are her brother, E.L. ?Tex? Bryant of Longview; sister, Don and her husband Sam Summers of Cameron, S.C., and sister, Reba Sweeney of Longview. Several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and her grand puppies, Riley and Abbey, also survive.
