Margie Faye Dagnel's Obituary
Graveside services for Margie Faye Dagnel, 77, of Hallsville will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Hallsville Cemetery with Grace O'Connor officiating. Margie left us to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon at her home. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
Margie was born on October 13, 1934 in Avalon, Texas to Aaron and Cecille Blackerby. She attended school in Lancaster, Texas. Margie worked in Dallas in retail in the early 50's and 60's at Peacock Jewelry and Margo La Mode's. She then went to work for 6 doctors at Oak Cliff Medical and Surgical hospital until she decided to be a stay at home mom in 1968.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Homer Dagnel; her daughter, Vicki Roane; granddaughter Jennifer Vanderslice; and her parents, Aaron and Cecille Blackerby. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Pat Hill; her brother, Mike Blackerby, and many other loved ones.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Mike Johannes; daughter Carla Dagnel; her grandchildren Selena Roane and Michael Vanderslice; 5 great grandchildren; brothers Aaron Jr. and Ron Blackerby; sisters Linda Rogers and Judy McCuistion; and her loving companions Cassie and Boots and many other loving family and friends.
