Margaret Anne Layton passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, just shy of her 83rd birthday. Born on May 20, 1943, in Marshall, Texas, Margaret was a beloved daughter of Jim Ike Layton and Marguerite Hutto Layton. She embodied the values of kindness, integrity, and community, touching the lives of everyone she met with her gentle spirit and compassionate nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Marguerite Layton, and her sister, Cynthia Wynne.
A devoted mother, Margaret's life centered around her children: Bing Corpier and wife, Lori; Cynthia Corpier; Wendy Corpier; and Lisa Hauck and husband, Matthew. Her nurturing love and wisdom were guiding lights for them. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Justin and wife, Ainsley; Rebecca and husband, Josh; Marianne; Katelynn and husband, Justin; Zachary; Jordan; Sarah; Fletcher and wife, Christine; and Keegan, and her great-grandchildren: Tristan, Kasidy, Tate, Hazel, Ragnar, Gunnar, Emma, Stetson, and Elijah, who were constant sources of joy.

Creating lasting memories and offering unwavering support to one another. Her dedication extended beyond her family to her community, where her warm smile and generous heart were ever-present.
Though she has left this world, Margaret's spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her family takes comfort in knowing she passed peacefully, surrounded by love. Margaret Anne Layton will be remembered as a loving mother, cherished grandmother, devoted sister, and true friend. Her life was a beacon of love and her memory a treasure. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
