Services for Margaret M. Fite, 88, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Thursday, January 28, 2010 in the Rosewood Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Reverend Mike Schutz officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:30 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the funeral home. Mrs. Fite was born in Sulphur Springs on May 14, 1921 to Harvey and Loreta Graham. She passed away on January 24, 2010 in a Longview nursing facility. She was a homemaker and was a clerical assistant to her late husband, L.J. Fite. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview, she was also involved in the community she loved. Mrs. Fite was a member of the Federated Women's Club, a volunteer with the Good Shepherd Medical Center Auxillary, she supported the Longview Art Museum and the East Texas Symphony Orchestra. A loving wife and mother, Mrs. Fite was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Ann Fite of Longview, Judy K. and John Shiver of Longview; grandchildren, John Shiver, Jr. of Lewisville, Julie Anne Shiver Latham of New York; four great grandchildren, Taylor Anne Shiver, Ashley Kate Shiver, Natalie Grace Latham, Sabrina Renee' Latham; nephews, John Warner Fite and Aaron Fite of Longview.
