Margaret Elizabeth Williamson's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Williamson, 90, passed away January 12, 2008 in Longview, Texas. She was born in Ore City, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Hal Newsom, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband L. L. Williamson.
Mr. Williamson is remembered as the Superintendent and administrator of Spring Hill schools for many years. A sister, Virginia Tatum, passed away many years ago.
She is survived by her son, John Wesley Williamson of Glenwood Community, and two granddaughters, Kristi Pickard and husband Rodney of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Kerri Wells and husband John of Mansfield, Texas and great grandchildren Kyle and Ryan Pickard and Natalie and Kaitlyn Wells. She is also survived by her brother Hal B. Newsom and his wife Sue Newsom of Longview.
Mrs. Williamson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she was dedicated to her family.
She was an active charter member of Holy Trinity Community Church where her husband is pictured and listed as Elder Emeritus. She was retired from Texas Eastman where she was in charge of executive travel arrangements. She was a talented artist who created cherished, collector beaded and glazed eggs that were sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus in past years.
Mrs. Williamson was a true and devoted friend to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 15, from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Community Church, 3800 Judson Rd., Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Reverend David Williamson and Dr. David Jenkins will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Community Church.
