Margaret Elizabeth Bunce's Obituary
Margaret Hausenfluke Bunce of Longview died Sunday, October 20th at a local nursing home at the age of 89. A memorial graveside service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 26th in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas with Larry Hausenfluke, nephew of Mrs. Bunce, officiating.
She was born January 25, 1913 in Georgetown, Texas to Job Hausenfluke and Maggie Williams Hausenfluke. One of 12 children, Margaret, or "Dotsie" got her registered nursing diploma from St. David?s hospital and Nursing school in Austin before marrying Charles Beverly Bunce on August 1, 1936 in Cuero, Texas.
Margaret and Charlie moved to Austin in 1944 after their two children were born. Margaret worked as an RN for St. David?s Hospital until her retirement. Gardening and bridge were two of Margaret?s favorite activities. She was also an excellent seamstress, and enjoyed making craft items. Margaret, or Aunt Dot, was especially close to her many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bunce was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, as well as all but four of her bothers and sisters. She is survived by Daughter & son-in-law, Carlene and Larry Partain of Longview and her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Joyce Bunce of Grand Forks, ND. She is also survived by her sisters, Lois Guttman, Laura Teel, and Betty Chapin and her brother, J. F. Hausenfluck; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchil-dren.
