Margaret Cox Nanny's Obituary
Graveside services for Margaret Cox Nanny, age 82, of Henderson will be held at 2:00PM Saturday December 1, 2007 at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Sherry Crenshaw officiating. Services are under the direction of the Rader Funeral Home of Henderson.
She passed away Tuesday November 27, 2007 at Henderson Memorial Hospital
Mrs. Nanny was born August 29, 1925 in Haynesville, La. She and her family moved to Henderson in 1931, and she has been a resident of Henderson since that time. She was a graduate of Henderson High School, and attended Kilgore Jr. College where she was a Rangerette.. She worked for Henderson Clay Products for many years, and later retired from Boral Brick where she was a computer operator. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Henderson, and was a member of the Modern Study club until she resigned due to health issues. At that time she was made an honorary member for life. Mrs. Nanny was known as a very generous person, and contributed to many charities.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sidney Charles & Joel Louise Cox, brothers,
Sidney Cox Jr. & Ralph Albert Cox.
She is survived by her son Stephen Clay Nanny of Houston, 2 brothers Ronald Wayne Cox of Lafayette, La, and Bobby Joe Cox of Hohenwald Tenn. She survived by nephews Ernest L. Cox of Gilmer, Michael Huggins , Robert Wayne Cox both of Lafayette, La, and B.J. Cox of Cedar Park, nieces Kathleen Cox of Houston, Kelly Cox Wilkins of Mobile, Ala, and Diane Boschult of Cedar Park. She also leaves behind her very special friends Lonnie Traylor, Dr. Hugh Phillips & wife Jo, Ann Waller, Dorothy Box, Libby & Ozzie Gramling, and several cousins.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, North Texas Chapter, 8111 LBJ Freeway, Suite 425, Dallas, Texas 75251.
