We are so sorry to hear about Marc's passing. Our condolences to his wife Amy and daughter Kayla. Dr. And Mrs M. Hillis.
I am deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Marc Peltzer's passing and I echo the sentiments of Dr. Al Pita. My condolences go out to Marc's Family friends and colleagues.
I just returned from an annual UCSF Orthopedic Residency conference and became nostalgic. I googled Marc and learned of his passing. We have lost a brilliant, fun and talented man. I remember that he was a Regent's Scholar from Cal Berkeley, was one of UCSF's top students and was matched in one of the Top Radiology programs in the world at UCSF.
We shared some great memories including 4 weddings in the 80s. Shulze, Pita, Satow and Peltzer's...I will never forget how much fun and hard work we all did together. And even though we didn't stay in touch, as we all became so busy with life, I will miss him and know that I speak for Club Med and the Class of 1986 at UCSF when I say,"Rest in Peace our friend!"
We lost Marc to Texas years ago and now he is gone. I will never forget his intelligent and positive energy. Once again, my Family's condolences go out to his Family and Friends.

Marc Peltzer was probably the smartest person that I have ever met, but what made him unique was that you would never know it by how he conducted himself. He was unassuming, kind and had a unique sense of humor. All of us, his medical school classmates knew that he would become an incredible, caring and brilliant radiologist.
As it often happens in life, we all go our separate ways and the last time I saw Marc was at my wedding, and I can still hear his unique laugh. I was devastated today to hear of his passing from one of my other classmates. He was one of several of us in medical school that formed a small social club that we called "Club Med" and we gave each other funny names. We called him "Zero", self explanatory since he was the genius of the group. We spent lots of time together going out to burn off some steam, playing intramural football and hanging out. This was a great outlet and helped ease the stresses and challenges of medical school.I feel blessed to have known him .My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace my friend.
I have attached a photo taken right before graduation of 6 of our "Club Med" members, we were supposed to have worn dress shirts for class photo and we all decided to wear Hawaiian shirts, and brought a bottle of Dos Equis.

Marc was genius in his field, both myself and my husband, Dr. Ronald Simonton had the utmost respect for him and his talent .He helped us through some very difficult times and I will always be thankful. I am glad I shared that with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and his precious daughter.
He will be missed, may God bless.
I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Peltzer at Regional. I have very fond memories of him. I will always remember his Witt and humor. He will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his family.
Marc took excellent care of my patients when he worked at Regional. He was a huge pleasure to work with. He will be missed. His skill and sense of humor helped me through many difficult medical situations.
I worked with Dr.Peltzer for 7 years in Radiology at Longview Regional Hospital. He was a funny, smart & caring man. He will be missed by so many.
My prayers to the family and Kayla.....I hadn't seen Marc in several years but have some fun memories back in the days of us all riding horses and a few instances where he had to help doctor me as well. Great guy who will be missed...
I am a nurse at Longview Regional Medical Center and so enjoyed working with Dr. Peltzer. He was so gentlemanly and kind to patients and nursing staff. He did all he could to ease suffering for patients and that was very much appreciated by families and staff. I am so sorry for your family's loss but am very glad to have known him.
