Malcolm William Schwenke's Obituary
Malcolm William Schwenke was born June 10, 1945 in Wigan Lancashire England and passed away April 26, 2018. He moved to the U.S. when he was 3 years old and was raised in Sigourney, Iowa. Throughout his 45 years in the natural gas industry he and his family lived in Iowa, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico and finally Texas. Malcolm loved to watch NHRA and antique car auctions. He was Jack of all trades and a Master of ALL. He never met a stranger and was active in his church at St. Matthews Catholic Church. All of his family depended on his advice and only trusted “Papa”.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Anne Schwenke of Sigourney, IA.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and partner in life of 48 ½ years, Wanda Schwenke, Daughter Teri Pharis and wife Rita, son Tony Schwenke and girlfriend Shay, Daughter Billie Atkinson and husband Aaron, four grandchildren Sam, Bri, Bryce and Ayla, sister Karen Billman and husband Jim, sisters-in-law Carolyn Atwood and husband Doug, Debbie Sopko and husband Jim, Suzanne Claypool, and several nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his family. He was by far the best man we’ve ever known and left us too soon.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, at St. Matthews Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Xavier Pappu officiating.
