Maida Ruth Lewis' Obituary
Heaven received another angel on July 23, 2012 when Maida Lewis went home to be with the Lord.
Frank and Mada Means from Kansas City, Missouri welcomed their first daughter, Maida Ruth, to their family on September 11, 1919. Maida was the fourth child of seven children and the last surviving member of her family. Her husband Chuck met his wonderful wife in 1941 at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They were married two years later and enjoyed 68 ½ years of wedded bliss. During this time Maida was a marvelous helpmate for her husband and an active participant in different ministries within the church. As a Sunday school and Public School teacher she enriched and blessed many lives. Maida was a living example of her faith and love for our Lord Jesus Christ. She has always been a loving asset to friends and family. She will be greatly missed.
Her surviving family members include her husband Charles "Chuck" Lewis, daughter Dee Naymon, son Chuck Lewis, Jr.; grandchildren Tiffany Farr, Brian Howell, Christina Lewis, Katie Lewis and great grandchildren Caitlyn Farr and Matthew Farr.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, from 5 to 7 PM at Fader Funeral Home. There will be a private interment for the Family, then a memorial service for friends and loved ones on Thursday, July 26, at 1 PM at Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
