Madeline Wallace Seabaugh's Obituary
Madeline Wallace Seabaugh passed away peacefully on the morning of September 12, 2023 and joined our amazing Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was 81. Madeline was born in Cheyenne, WY on April 29, 1942, and spent most of her childhood growing up in Houston, TX. She completed her education at the University of Missouri, where she met her husband John Seabaugh.
Madeline was a lifetime school teacher, and was passionate about teaching and positively impacting young minds. She spent 25 years teaching elementary school at Hudson PEP in Longview, TX. Madeline was beloved by all her colleagues and students there. At her retirement party, Madeline was presented with a scrapbook that contained contributions from her former students. The contributions overfilled the scrapbook, and the additional contributions were given to her separately.
Soon after retirement, Madeline moved to Denton, TX to be closer to her immediate family. Madeline took great joy in spending time with family and helping her granddaughters with their schoolwork and studies. She also dearly loved her adopted cat, Rosie.
Madeline was preceded in death by her husband John Seabaugh, mother Minnie Wallace and father Cloyd Wallace. Madeline is survived by her son John (Paula) Seabaugh and daughter Lindsey (David) Seabaugh Powell, her grandchildren Anne Marie Seabaugh and Abigail Seabaugh, and her sister Diane Evans.
The family will have a private graveside ceremony to celebrate her beautiful life. If you would like to honor Madeline, the family asks that you donate to Operation Kindness, an animal shelter located in Carrollton, TX.
