Mable Joiner's Obituary
Graveside services for Mable Helen Joiner will be held on Monday, 8 April 2013 at 2: p.m. at Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery in Nacogdoches, Texas under direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.  Mable Joiner went to be with her maker on 6 April 2013. Her nephew Reverend Richard White will officiate.
Mrs. Joiner was born 28 April 1924 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Richard Penn White and Maude Lee. She worked her way through college reading gas meters for the city of Nacogdoches. She at the time was the only female at the college with a car and it was made in 1924. She used to tease that it was the same age as she.
She taught in the Longview School District for over 30 years. Also started the first drill team at Longview High School in the mid 1040's called the Loboettes. She then taught science and P.E. for many years at Foster Jr. High. She is remembered with fondness by students and friends.
Mable Joiner was a long standing member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church where she was dearly loved by many members.
Mrs. Joiner is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Waylon Hugh Joiner. Also by her parents and two brothers, Preston White and Phillip White. Also by a daughter Janet Joiner Cantrell.
Mable Joiner is survived by a daughter Donna Joiner McGrath and her grandchildren: Stevie McGrath, Kasey Knox, Kelley Phillip Hughes, Sam Patwin, and Tony Marberry. Also by three great grandchildren: Hayden Hughes, Parker Dale and Sage Knox.
