Graveside services for Mable Frances Black, 90, of Longview will be held at 2 PM Saturday, August 28, 2004 in Rosewood Park with her grandson, David Fowler officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, 1617 Judson Road.
Mrs. Black was born on March 10, 1914 in Bossier City, La., to Hugh Percy and Mattie Bell Barber. She passed away on Wednesday morning, March 25, 2004 in a Longview nursing facility.
A Longview resident since 1938, Mrs. Black was a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
A loving mother and grandmother, and great grandmother, Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband, Joe Wendell Black, Sr. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Joe Wendell Black, Jr., of Longview, Robert and Jean Black of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann and Kenneth Lewis of Lakeview, AR.; grandchildren and their spouses, Tammy and Zonie Kazi of San Diego, CA., Sheli and Dennis Suiter of Longview, Robbie and Maria Black of Longview, Daria Black of Aspen, CO., David Fowler of Longview, De Ann and Kerry Bodey of McKinney; and Nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM this evening at the funeral home.
