Lynnette Engh's Obituary
ROCHESTER ? The funeral for Lynnette Engh will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kathie Nycklemoe officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Mrs. Engh, 47, of Rochester, formerly of Longview, TX, died Tuesday Feb. 1, 2005 at Seasons Hospice after a seven year illness with Breast Cancer.
Lynnette Kaye Olson was born Oct. 25, 1957 in Bemidji, MN where she was raised and graduated from Bemidji High School in 1975. She moved to Rochester where she attended St. Mary?s School of Nursing receiving her LPN. She married Don Engh in August 1984 in Longview, TX. She received her RN from Kilgore College in Kilgore, TX and worked for Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview for 22 years, the last 6 years as the Employee Health Care Nurse for the Hospital. She retired due to illness and returned to Rochester in September of last year. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Longview where she was involved in the Walk to Emmaus. She was also active in the Relay for Life which heightened awareness, and raised money for Breast Cancer research.
Survivors include her husband Donald, daughter Christina, and son Erik all of Rochester; three sisters Edna Ed Gutman, and Elaine Dave Naylor both of Rochester; and Nancy Tranby of Montgomery, IL; and two brothers Roger Sheila Olson of Virginia Beach, VA; and Wayne Sharilyn Olson of Franktown, CO.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Rochester Chapel and one hour before the service at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Employee Assistance Fund at Good Shepherd Medical Center.
