Lyndol Marie Stephenson's Obituary
Services for Lyndol Marie Stephenson, 79, of Hallsville will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 12 pm in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. Mrs. Stephenson went to the Lord in the early afternoon of Saturday, July 22 surrounded by her family.
Lyndol was born on November 3, 1937 in Longview to parents Otto and Marie Dunford. Following her graduation from Longview High School class of 1955, Lyndol attained a RN from the Texas Easter School of Nursing in 1957; she then worked for Good Shepherd Medical Center. In her free time Mrs. Stephenson would go to estate sales and fish with her family. In her later years, Lyndol would play Chickenfoot with anyone that was willing to play. Beyond all else, Mrs. Stephenson was a mother, and a true matriarch of her family who loved beyond measure all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Those who preceded Mrs. Stephenson in death include her parents, Otto and Marie Dunford; and her husband of 47 years, Charles Stephenson, and son-in-law William “Mack” Mackey. Those left to cherish their memories on Mrs. Stephenson include her children, Donna Mackey of Hallsville, Diana Hays and her husband Mark of Longview, and Michael Scott Stephenson and his wife Carri of Tennessee Colony TX; grandchildren Justin Dickard, Joshua Hays and his wife Meagan of Tyler, Jonathan Hays and his wife Maisie of Round Rock TX; Rebecca Mackey and Matthew Prine, Caitlen Marshall and Caleigh Marshall; great-grandchildren Payton and Wyatt Dickard, Addlynn Mackey, Mary Ella Hays, and Luke Joshua Hays; “Alex”, her 4 legged companion; and her sisters and brothers in law; she will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Mulberry Springs Baptist Church Building Fund (16376 FM449, Hallsville, TX 75650).
