Luis was a classmate of my father at BHS (class of '51). I was so glad to be in contact with Luis and receive his e-mails. Both of his books showed me a world I only knew from stories told by my parents. His final statement is a good one. Condolences to those who are left behind.
When I was in college I worked regular part time at Louis Morgan’s. It was a busy place where I checked out many customers, most of whom I would never remember. Mr. Celerier was one I would never forget. He was kind, friendly, and liked to visit a bit. Seeing him come in was a breath of fresh air. Condolences to his family and those who knew him well. Thank you for sharing his life through his lovely obituary.
I met Luis in one if his visits to Panama. His enthusiasm for the outdoors was contagious. His kindness and outgoing personality made me feel that I knew him for ever. His knowledge of history and nature of Panama was admirable. I could spend hours listening to his stories. He will be missed dearly. My prayers and thoughts are with his family during this sad time.
Luis was a wonderful man to know. I was going through old emails I wanted to keep when I came across Luis's journey in Panama, and it made me smile just thinking of him and our crazy times when the four of us (Luis, Etheleen, Cindy and me) would sit at the "losers table" as we called it at the Axelson Christmas parties. It was a few days after that I read of his passing. Etheleen and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be thinking of you during the coming days.

Mr. Celerier was a patient where I worked and my absolute FAVORITE patient! He would brighten my day and I always looked forward to see him coming in for his visits. He was always so kind. I will miss him dearly. I am so grateful for our friendship and will cherish the moments I got to see him. I'm so happy I got a big hug last time I saw him.

Luis was a brilliant man and very interesting to talk to. We were on a nonprofit board together a number of years ago. He shared some of his writings and beautiful photos of Panama with me. I just revisited those files on my computer and enjoyed being reminded of his passion for Panama and its' history. I am saddened to learn of his passing. My sympathy to his family.
