Lucille McWhorter's Obituary
Services for Lucille McWhorter, 86, of Longview will be 2 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2009 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Richard Densman and Shane Rohrbach officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview memorial Gardens. Mrs. McWhorter passed away Friday evening at her home in Longview. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Lucille was born on January 20, 1923 in Paris, Texas to Bill and Mary Bryant. She was a long time resident of Longview and worked as a cashier for Skinners Grocery for 42 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James McWhorter.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 4 children and their spouses, Shirley Rohrbach of Diana, Texas, James and Debbie McWhorter of Indiana, Mary Wade of Longview, and Carolyn and Gregg Williams of Longview; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Susie Stone of Longview, Myrtle Ashcraft of Longview; and brothers, John Bryant of Longview and Bill Bryant of Tyler; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Pallbearers for Mrs. McWhorter will be her grandsons.
