Lucille Hensarling Kennedy's Obituary
Funeral services for Lucille Hensarling Kennedy, 76, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Longview Christian Church, with Craig Moore and Bernie Ayers officiating. Interment will be at Rosewood Park Cemetery. Mrs. Kennedy passed away on July 24 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Arrangements will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kennedy was born in San Augustine County, Texas on November 7, 1928, to Charley and Donnie Hensarling. She was married to Louis H. Kennedy for 54 years.
Mrs. Kennedy and her husband owned and operated Kennedy?s Jewelers in Downtown Longview for forty years and active in numerous community service clubs including Pilot International and Longview Symphony Prelude. She was a founder and member of Longview Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Kennedy, son and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Raye Kennedy of Longview, grandchildren Lauren and Stuart Kennedy, sister and brother-in-law, Pearl and Lonel Hughes, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday, July 26, at Rader Funeral Home in Longview.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mrs. Kennedy to the Longview Christian Church Building Fund, 2400 McCann Road, Longview, Texas 75605 and Heartsway Hospice of Northeast Texas, 1306 Pine Tree Road, Longview, Texas 75604.
