LTC Tommy G. Waugh's Obituary
LTC Tommy G. Waugh left this life to be with his God on 20 July 2011.
He was born 5 May 1940 on North Franklin Street in Marshall, Texas. He graduated from Marshall High School in May 1958. He achieved a Bachelors Degree from Chamanad and a Masters Degree from Pepperdine University.
He joined the Texas National Guard at age 14. He attended Officers Candidate School at age 19 and was given a commission as a Second Lieutenant in 1960. He was called to active duty in September 1961.
He served his country in numerous states and foreign countries in his 27 years of service. He earned numerous medals and citations including The Combat Infantryman's Badge, Bronze Star, RVN Gallantry Cross with Silver Star, Army Commendation Medal and Humanitarian Service Medal.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marion Waugh, mother, Florence Walker, Stepmother, Mary Opal Tims, Brother, Marion Edward, Brother, Ronnie Lynn and Sister, Reba Joyce.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy, three children, daughter, Bonita Gamel and husband, Les, son, Tommy Waugh and wife, Lisa and son, Richard Waugh.. Brother, Eddie and wife, Betty. He has four grandchildren, Ashley and Jason Fincher, Victoria Waugh and Alyssa Waugh. He has four great grandchildren, Joshua, Kimberlyn, Colby and Benjamin.

Graveside Services with Full Military Honors presented by the Ft. Hood Honor Guard will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Pope City Cemetery with Reverend Mike Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
