Lounell Smith Callison
Graveside services for Lounell Smith Callison, 74, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler with the Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. She passed away, Wednesday, September 5, at her residence in Longview.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born July 16, 1933 in San Angelo, TX to Searcy and Laura Smith. A former 30 year resident of San Angelo, she moved to Longview from Tyler, where she lived for 11 years. Mrs. Callison was a former office clerk for General Tire and Rubber Co. in Dallas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Longview.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Searcy Smith, Jr. and Raymond Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 55 years, Richard ?Dick? Callison of Longview; her loving children, Kathy Witherspoon and husband Jay of Round Rock, TX, Steve Callison and wife Debbie of Quitman, TX, Margay Callison of Longview and David Callison and wife Lisa of Grand Prairie, TX; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 nephews; and her pet cat ?Miss Smoky?.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 4425 W. Airport Freeway, Suite 130, Irving, TX 75062.
