Louise Scarborough's Obituary
Louise Scarborough, 92, of Gladewater was called to her heavenly home February 7, 2013.
She was born to John Austin and Francis Jones on August 14, 1920 in Monticello, AR.
Later in life she moved to Longview, TX where she met and married the love of her life, Lamar Scarborough who preceded her in passing in 1998.
Louise is survived by her daughters Judith Hyden and her husband Ray of Gladewater, TX and Fran Wagster of Columbia, SC, sisters, Fran Gillespie and her husband Eldon of Noble, OK, Martha Varitek of Weirton, WV, her brothers Harvey Jones of Warren, AR and C. L. Jones and his wife Lydia of Conroe, TX, six grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. They will fondly remember her as their "Hey-Hey" who always welcomed them with hugs, kisses and wonderful things to eat.
Louise loved her church family at Trinity Baptist where she served as Sunday School Treasurer for many years. Her church could always rely upon her to visit the sick and bereaved while taking delicious food to those she called on.
Louise will always be loved and remembered for putting the needs of others before her own. Her quite love spoke loudly to all of us who are so blessed to have shared our lives with her.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview at 2 pm. Interment will follow services at Crims Chapel Cemetery in Henderson.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Rodney Slone and staff for years of care, as well as Eastman Estates, Buckner Westminster in Longview, TX and Legend Oaks in Gladewater, TX and a special thanksgiving to God who gave us his gift of Louise.
