Louise Holman Wylie's Obituary
Funeral services for Louise Holman Wylie, age 82, of the Chapman Community will be held Saturday March 29, 2008 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Macky Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the Bridges Cemetery.
Mrs. Wylie passed away on Thursday March 27, 2008 at 8:57pm at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler from a severe stroke she suffered on March 23.
She was born on August 14, 1925 to the late Tommy and Evie Lena Posey Holman.
Mrs. Wylie was preceded in death by her husband A.W. "Pop" Wylie, her parents and brother D.R. "Buddy" Holman.
She was a lifelong member of Blossom Hill United Methodist Church where she served on various committees throughout the years. She was a charter member and 33 year volunteer with Henderson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, having been president of the organization for four years. She also served in many other official duties throughout
her tenure. Volunteering with the Henderson Independent School District's EAGLE program at Northside School was another one her"gifts" to the community. Volunteering in any capacity was the love her life: she loved helping others. She was quite active in the Rusk County AARP organization for several years. She was a sales clerk for J.C. Penny
and a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by her sister Frankie and Husband Carlos Hunt, sister in laws Marceline Holman, Rozelle Cain, Patsy Reynolds all of the Chapman Community and Opal Mitchell of Henderson, special nieces and nephews Kathy Chapman, Tommy Ray Holman of Chapman, and Kay Lynch of Trinity, and many other nieces, nephews, and friends, and special great nephew Travis Chapman.
Pallbearers will be Robert Burchett, Travis Chapman, Josh Kelsey, Jesse Schwettmann, Stanley Berry, and Alton Currie.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Henderson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Members.
The family visitation will be from 6pm – 9pm Friday at the funeral home.
