Louise Fowler's Obituary
Louise Bishop Fowler, 75, went to her home in heaven on Wednesday, November 20, 2002.
Graveside services will be held by Pastor Aaron Bequette at Rosewood Park on Saturday at 10:00 am.
Family visitation will be from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm Friday at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road.
Louise was the family historian, tracing many of her ancestral lines back to their early pre-Revolutionary War European origins. She had published two books on two of the family lines and was a contributor to a number of other family publications and genealogical quarterlies. She recently compiled a five-volume legacy of genealogical history and digital photo collages of the Bishop family from early 1700?s to present day.
She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League where she held the rank of Bronze Life Master and mentored many others to achieve Life Master status over the past 25 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Fowler of Redwood Shores, CA and Elizabeth Reed of Phoenix, AZ, one grandaughter, Stacy Ann Reed of Los Angeles, CA., one sister, Juanita Hughes of Caledonia, NY, one brother Henry P. Bishop and his wife Joyce Bishop of Longview, TX. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and dear friends Johnny and Edna Iverson.
The qualified and loving care of Greater Hospice of Texas and her personal caregivers provided great comfort at her home during the last few weeks.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the family request memorials are made to Mobberly Baptist Church, Longview, TX in lieu of flowers.
