Louis MIncey's Obituary
Louis Jackson (Jack) Mincey passed away on February 2, 2019. He was born on the farm near Bruceville, Indiana on January 6, 1931 to Louis and Hattie Lynch Mincey. He married Nancy Sue Girkin on May 15, 1953 and celebrated sixty-two years of marriage before Nancy’s death in 2015. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was discharged as a First Lieutenant in late May of 1954. He spent thirty-two years in purchasing management with Brown Shoe Company in St. Louis, Missouri, retiring as a Vice President of Purchasing. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time at his duck club. He invested much of his time off improving and perfecting his homes. He belonged to the American Legion in St. Charles, Missouri.
Jack is survived by his son Mark and wife Susan of Leander, daughter Lark Korando and husband Mike of Lake Cherokee, grandson Bradley Korando and wife Kandie of Longview, grandson John Mincey and wife Jaelan of Albuquerque, and granddaughter Jennifer Fullmer and husband Ian of Leander. He also has two great-grandchildren, Olivia Korando of Longview and Sullivan Mincey of Albuquerque.
The family will hold a graveside service at Rosewood Park on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
