Lonnie F. Singleton's Obituary
Graveside services for Lonnie F. Singleton, 91, of Longview, will be 1 PM Monday at the Rosewood Park Mausoleum with Reverend Emmitt
Barrow officiating. Entombment will follow.
Lonnie was born February 28, 1911 in Kaufman, Texas to William and
Lillie Singleton. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was self-employed as owner of Greggton Motor Service and owner of Lonnie?s Auto Parts.
He was a member of the Greggton United Methodist Church and was a member of the Longview Masonic Lodge # 404 and would have received his 50 year pin on November 22, 2002. Mr. Singleton was also a member of the Greggton
Rotary Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma.
Lonnie is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Don and Suzanne Singleton of Dallas and Don Rainey of Houston; grandchildren, Amy Singleton of Nashville, TN and Lacey Singleton of Dallas; sister, Delores Young of Midland, TX; special sister-in-law and husband, Hattie and Quentin Phipps of Longview.
