Nicole Harris Harkins
Funeral services for Nicole Harris Harkins, 43, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Spring Hill First Baptist Church with the Reverend Wayne Spanhanks officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Bear Creek Cemetery in Linden. She passed away Monday, March 18, at her residence in Longview.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Nicole was born October 15, 1969 in Longview, where she was a lifetime resident. She graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1988 in the top 5 percent of her class. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, Kilgore College, and Collin County Community College. Nicole was the former manager of Pacific Sun Wear in the Longview Mall.
Nicole was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Elton Harkins; mother, Loma Nell Harris; grandfather, Lone Surratt; and grandparents, W.B. "Cap" and Vivian Harris.
Those left to cherish her memory are her twin daughters, Sommer Faith and Loma Alexis Harkins; her father, James Harris; brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Lynn Alford Harris all of Longview; grandmother, Juanita Surratt; aunts, Lynette Sharp, Norma Jean McDuffie and Willa Dean Harris all of Linden; nephew, Aaron Harris and niece, Kaitlyn Harris both of Longview.
