Mrs. Lola Burk Warnix's Obituary
Lola, 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 17, 2016. Services will be held Monday, November 21, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with Brother Bobby Moore officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 20, 2016, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lola was born on June 26, 1929, in Mangum, OK to C. J. and Ethel Burk. She graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1946, where she was voted most beautiful. She went on to attend Kilgore College where she was a Kilgore Rangerette. She married Harold Warnix on April 14, 1949. They were lifelong residents of Longview, TX and she was one of the first members at Greggton First Baptist Church. She was a stay at home mom who loved cooking, baking brownies and fudge. She loved sewing and making the grandkids Halloween costumes. She and Harold always attended the kid’s sporting activities. Lola always had a smile on her face and brought smiles to everyone that met her. Many people were touched by her loving and caring heart.
She is preceded in death by C.J. and Ethel Burk, Harold Warnix, Otis Burk, Larry Burk, Gary Bloodworth and Duck Hodges.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Bloodworth, Lisa and Rick Singleton; son Randy and Lisa Warnix; grandsons, Cody and Cassie Bloodworth, Trevor and Shaina Warnix and Zack Singleton; great grandkids, Charlea and Rylea; her sister, Mona Hodges, her sister-in-law, Freddie Burk, sisters and brother-in-law Shirley and Jimmy Alford and Carolyn Renfro; numerous nieces and nephews; and her sweet puppy Fifi that was always by her side; and lifelong friends Norma Mullikin, Alice Haynes and Lucille Glover. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Pine Tree Nursing Home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Alford, Ronnie Alford, Kyle Wright, Steve Handy, Brent Stephenson and Billie Lee.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
